Agency for Innovation in Cyber Security founded!

There is a new German federal authority, the Agency for Innovation in Cyber Security, which is intended to ensure greater security in the IT sector. 350 million euros will be made available up to 2023 and are intended to ensure better IT security in Germany. Security gap in learning platform Mebis!

Learning platforms get in Covid19 times more and more attention and win strongly at users. However, not all of these platforms are secure and protect the users’ data sufficiently. This is also the case with the platform Mebis, which was developed by the Bavarian Ministry of Culture. A group of hackers has now published an article in which several vulnerabilities are mentioned that are contained in the Mebis platform.

Mailto-Link can be exploited to grab sensitive files!

China bans the editor Notepad++!

Notepad++, a very well known text editor, which is widely used by software developers, is no longer available in China. The founder of the free editor supports the protesters in Hong Kong and the Uyghurs. In response to this support, there have been cyber attacks and the editor has been blocked from downloading in China.
