Artificial intelligence – a course for the public!

What is behind the keyword “artificial intelligence”? In order to answer this question, to reduce scepticism and obstacles, there is now a promising online course in German language. The widely supported and advertised format explains what can be expected from the technology – and what not. We recommend this course to anyone who wants to take a closer look at the subject matter.

What is artificial intelligence and how are problems solved?

The course is free of charge. Creating an account is free of charge. However, there is no compulsion. If you want to keep track of your own course progress, you may want to create an account.
Is an artificial intelligence able to take away my profession? Such questions are often confronted – and even if on the one hand certain jobs will be lost, on the other hand some will be created.

Meanwhile there are statistics about this, about which we have already reported in the past. But not only theory is a factor that is illuminated in the online course. Real applications are also described here. Really exciting for the participants is chapter 5 and 6, which deals with neural networks and their effects. The former appears very often in the media coverage. The performance, results and development of this technology fascinates research and industry alike.

There are already applications with AI that everyone can use!

A prominent example of a well-functioning AI product is the translation service deepl. The Cologne-based company has a well-functioning product that translates texts quickly and reliably. The service has attracted a lot of attention when it was widely acknowledged that it works far better than the service provided by Google.

The online course on Artificial Intelligence is supported by the IHK, AHK and BMWi, or the patronage runs under the auspices of the Federal Ministry. If someone is enrolled at the University of Helsinki, they can receive 2 ECTS for completing the course.
